I have always enjoyed writing stories about ordinary citizens and their everyday struggles. When the opportunity to work with Roving Reporters was presented, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. I am glad I did. There are things that I have done and experienced that I would not have otherwise experienced or seen had I not joined Roving Reporters.
After my first fieldwork trip to uMhlabuyalingana and Bhanga Nek, I had an option to either continue working with Roving Reporters or somewhere else. I chose to stay. I felt Roving Reporters was the best platform to teach and instil in me the values of a good journalist.
