Join Roving Reporters’ Writers in Residence programme
Global warming, the rape of our seas… species extinction. Does the degradation of our natural environment, poaching or perhaps pollution, make you mad? You want to do something, but how to start to right the wrongs?
Journalism is a powerful tool to spur action.
It shines a light on truths some find inconvenient. It alerts people to problems in their own backyards and beyond.
And it can lead to change. But doing it well takes effort and skills.
Journalism training
There is much to learn.
You need to master tools and techniques. And learn how to interview and gather information.
Then, at the beating heart of it all, lies storytelling.
Roving Reporters team of tutors are all experienced, published journalists.
Since 2012 we have helped scores of writers, of all ages and backgrounds.
We sharpen your writing skills, introduce you to the art of storytelling and get your work published.
We do real journalism, about subjects that matter and our Writers in Residence Programme is about guiding you to do the same.
Practical
Training is practical and robust. Writers in Residence do fieldwork and tackle assignments with the aim of crafting real stories for publication.
Your work will be critiqued – torn apart even – by our tutors and others on the programme.
It will be hammered into shape and from it you will emerge better and stronger… ready to write some of those wrongs.
