The following photos were taken on Thursday this week by Andrea Kotze several kilometres downstream of the pollution source – Pietermartizburg’s Willowton Oil factory. Many fish had jumped out the water to escape the caustic pollution. At the confleunce with Mkondeni, some fish had jumped metres out of the water onto the embankment Dead fish included tilapia, carp and yellow fish. Barbel were among the longest to survive.
