Samantha Infante was born in Port Elizabeth “with its rocky fringing reef and very cold waters”.
Having surfed for many years, Samantha considers the ocean her backyard.
After completing her matric at Durban Girls High School, she enrolled for a degree in Marine Biology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Samantha hopes her time on board the Angra Pequena, will give her the opportunity to network with leading South African scientists. This will broaden her skills and give her an idea for her masters research project.
