Countless fish have died following a spill from the Willowton Oil factory on Tuesday. Photos showing this kind of devastation have been taken up to 40km downstream from the factory, and in KwaXimba – the first overnight stop during the annual Dusi Cane Marathon – people were scooping up poisoned fish to cook and sell to people in the local community. The three men walking away from this site had just washed and taken home a few dead fish to cook.
